Subaru Southern Africa has formalized its pre-owned vehicle business in the Subaru Six Star Preowned programme launched this year as a new product by SSA.
Managing Director of SSA, Teresita van Gaalen says growth in Subaru sales – both in new and preowned vehicles – calls for a rationalization of the approach to the preowned market. “We want to ensure the highest quality for second and third generation owners in vehicle’s level of integrity as well as a value-for-money contract.
“Subaru has been at the highest levels of customer service with a product that exceeds all expectations in terms of excellent engineering, peerless safety, performance and driveability on all roads in all weather.
“The Subaru Six Star Preowned stamp will now provide a further sense of comfort to owners down the line…particularly as our vehicles are performing well at 200 000kms and beyond.”
Today’s used vehicle customer is looking for security and integrity in his endeavours to acquire a used vehicle. The concept of a used vehicle for sale from a dealer with a franchise does not in itself instil confidence in the customer’s mind. Subaru SIXSTAR has been developed to offer the customer a peace of mind "package" that instils this confidence. “The programme provides added value to vehicles, approved under the Subaru standards and will ensure both quality and the creation of consistency in standards for the Subaru preowned market. The development is a sign of the maturation of the Subaru Brand in Southern Africa.
